New Moto Guzzi V7 models for 2018…
Moto Guzzi’s V7 model was first introduced in 1967 and quickly became the company’s bestseller. Fifty years later, the V7 is celebrated with a few upgrades and changes and four beautiful new models for 2018 including this limited-edition model, all while still retaining the integrity of the motorcycles and company that the public has always looked to them for.
The 2018 line celebrates customization specifically through a series of special parts that give each bike originality, style and uniqueness of character. The Moto Guzzi Garage offers a full line of specially-designed parts and accessories to make each V7 II as individual and custom as the rider wants it to be.
All V7 III models have been updated while still maintaining all the features that have made these bikes so iconic. The 740cc engine remains the signature transversal, air-cooled V-twin, but it is now 10% more powerful. Other changes include a lower seat position, new steering geometry, new oil sump and crankshaft, double pipe manifolds on the exhaust, new pistons and cylinders, an ABS system and a new adjustable MGCT (Moto Guzzi Traction Control). The V7 III also has an intuitive Bluetooth connection that, used in conjunction with a free, downloadable app, allows riders to plug in their smartphone and gain access to a wide range of useful information including speedometer, rev counter, instant power, instant torque, instant and average fuel consumption, average speed and battery voltage, longitudinal acceleration and extended trip computer. The Motor Guzzi twin 750 bikes now conform to Euro 4 standards as well.
The V7 III Rough is overflowing with heritage and attitude. The rugged yet distinguished style of this bike focuses on its knobby tires mounted on bold, spoked wheels and a ribbed saddle. Other style customs include shortened fenders and side farings cast in aluminum, which is tastefully offset with a black headlight frame and exhaust; a matte grey tank and fork stanchions protected by rubber dust covers. The look is reminiscent of the scrambler bikes, although the stock suspension isn’t meant to handle anything other than tarmac. The Rough is a great-looking, road-ready motorcycle that has unique style and qualities!
Moto Guzzi’s V7 is a classic motorcycle with wide ranging appeal for everyone, including women, new riders and those who appreciate a traditionally beautiful and reliable bike. With the new features and upgrades in addition to the bold and eye-catching style, these bikes are sure to receive a lot of head-turning and positive comments.
